I want to carve a feather or two, eagle or owl type, that would be about 12-18" tall. At that size the detail would be evident and accuracy important. Can anyone help with a pattern or methods to carve, detail etc.? |

Check under the bird heading for a thread titled "texturing feathers with a stone" It's been covering the very thing you are looking for.
