Default Family movie with woodcarving- Anyone seen it?

Each year I like to have a good movie for everyone to watch as a family. I just found this one and was thinking about picking it up. I was just excited to find a movie that featured a woodcarver so I'll probably get it anyway but was just wondering if anyone here had seen it.

The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey
Movie Review:
"The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey" is a story of love, redemption and above all, hope. When a broken hearted boy loses the treasured wooden nativity set that links him to his dead father, his worried mother persuades a reclusive, ill-tempered woodcarver to create a replacement, and to allow her son to watch him carve it. The commission takes their relationship to unexpected places as the young boy makes greater and more difficult demands of the woodcarver’s ability, and as Christmas approaches, the three of them struggle to come to terms with each other, their painful memories and the process of putting their unhappiness behind them. Outstanding performances, stunning CGI visuals and a brilliant score make this compelling, funny and ultimately, very moving adaptation of one of America’s most loved and award winning children’s books a must-see family movie experience.

Looks like a real tear jerker.

I have it and have been posting about this movie on here for awhile. This was one of my very favorite books to read with my kids at Christmas when they were little. They did a great job making the movie version. We've bought several copies to give out this Christmas to family & friends.

Highly recommended!!

Cheers

Oh - and a couple other favorites of mine though not necessarily Christmas.

The Simple Life of Noah Dearborn with Sidney Poitier. EXCELLENT - and one of my all time FAVs.

Pictures of Hollis Woods of course.

Any others that folks can think of to recommend that contain woodworking or carving as part of the subject or theme - even peripherally?

Cheers!

Chuck: Thank's for the feedback. That's all I needed to hear. "The Simple Life of Noah Dearborn" looks like another one right down my alley and it's rare that you see a perfect 5-star rating on Amazon but this one had it! Thank's!

You WILL love it Dave. Oh - and you or any others out there have any recommendations in this vein I'd like sure like to hear them. Any movies or books that involve, are set in or include somehow in the plot line - nature, the outdoors, woodworking, simple living, or even medeival/renaissance/fantasy with these themes are right up my alley.

I have to start compiling a list.

Cheers!

Dave .. I just finished viewing this movie last night and was blown away by how wonderful it was ..

To tell you the truth .. I liked it better then Pictures of Hollis Wood ..

The story was incredible and how he mixed the computer images with the live characters was great ..

A must be keeper for a Christmas movie every year ..

Too bad this wasnt put on t.v.
