Default eygptian female

This wood is teak, it is one of my practice female face... She is 10 inches in height. I made this face also in a modern stylized way.

I really DO like that carving! It would be the top attention getter at any art show. Do you plan to sell it or keep it for your own collection? The teak is a beautiful wood but I always thought it was lighter in color. You applied a little stain? The color is rich and vibrant and certainly takes on an ancient Egyptian aura.

Another great carving. And a price less back ground!
In the back left there is some tree that reminds me of a pine tree.
Is it in pine family?
Does Teak grow in your part of the world?
Thank You, Carl

I love the way you used texture for the hair. The negative space is done very well. You are really busy aren't you? Both of your new females are incredible.

Bravo! I really like the imaginative design with the open space around the hair and hand. Very artsy!

Absolutely gorgeous piece, Di! Truly a work of art in every aspect. Carving is wonderful, as is the finish. Bonnie

I can't think of anything else to add , it's great. I wish I had an imagination like that and then to be able to come up with a great carving. W.
