Default Eyes

I am trying to remember the name of a product that was mentioned on this message board. It is a high gloss coating that is used to highlight the eyes on a carving. I remember someone saying that they just put a drop on each eye. Also, where can I find the product? I couldn't find the posting. But, then again, I worry sometimes that I might not be able to find my way home!

Thanks, Jerry, Hartwell, GA

Jerry,
The product that I think you want is called Crystal Cote I know the Santa carvers use it to highlight the eye. There is a post on Holiday Carving Message Board the heading is 'Crystal Cote'. I think it can be picked up at just about any of the craft store outlets. I am sure someone here will be able to tell you exactly where to get it in the US.

Full name is 'Treasure Crystal Coat' and you can get it at Wallyworld. (Oh and it doesn't take a drop, just put a little dab on the tip of a tooth pick and use surface tension to work for you. If you put a drop in, it will run down and around the eye trying to self level.)

Ah, yes. Of course, when I hear it, I remember the name. Thank you all.
