Default Easy Golfball display

I wanted a simple stand to display golfballs that was nicer then a Tee, but had similar style, and was quick and easy to make. This is what I came up with and it met my criteria, so I thought I would pass it along.
I picked up a closet door handle, from a home improvement store, (got 2 for about $1.50). First, clamp a board to the drill press table and drill a hole about 1/4 inch deep, matching the size of the bottom of the handle (this was to be sure the handle is centered to the drill). Second, put the handle in the hole in the board and clamp so it doesn't spin with a bar clamp, pliers, or anything else to keep your fingers safe. Third, drill a 3/4 hole in the handle about 1/2 inch deep. Last, sand the top flat until you liked the look. You might have to adjust your drill depth to match the handles you get, but my hole ended up about 1/4 inch lower then the top.
The whole process only took me about 5 minutes and only about 80 cents!

Eric
