Default Eagle Cane Program

Has anyone on the site donated a cane to this program, I've been asked to do so and consider it a honor,it's the least I can do for what these Soldiers have gone through over their.Would love to see some projects if anyones done any to help get my creative juices flowing,I don't consider myself a bird carver, but I will sure attempt one.

Mark,
I have participated in the Eagle Cane Program for several years and have made around 80 canes. I personally delivered a couple to the families of deceased Vets (a service I offer to the families of Vets in WI) and it is a touching moment. I don't know how the people who do this all the time can take it!

I have a section of my website showing canes, recipients and other information relative to the program. Check it out at www.cedarstump.us and let me know if you need any assistance.

Denny

Hi Mark
My local Carving Club was asked by the local Woodturning club to help them with the Eagle Cane Project. We carved the Eagle Heads they turned the Canes. The club carved 23 Eagle heads and the Turners are finishing up the canes. They are waiting now for the engraving to be done. Some of them are to be presented in the near future to the service men and women. Attached is a pic of a couple of the heads.
