I've been thinking about getting a dust bee-gone dust mask and I'd like to hear more about them. I've looked at their website and it sounds good. Any advice or comments would be appreciated. Dylan |

I use a couple of different kinds of masks, the filtered mask is a "Dustfoe", good mask and I think 19.00+-, the others are 3M #8710, I use them mostly if I am outside sanding a walkingstick etc. the dustfore for in close work, like woodburning etc....I had some el cheapo face masks and my cousin needed to borrow one, so sometime later he gave me a whole box of the 3M...think he didn't like my cheapies? ha ha..........the 3m's have double rubber bands are are a pretty good mask actually, but do like my dustfoe for "up close and personal"! LOL But like knives, to each his own I think! If I wanted to spend a bunch of money, I think I would get one of the full face shields with the filter and fan in it! but $250.00?

The only reason I don't have a dust be gone is the price and like Dave said on the full face shield one, price. I will stick with the 3 m coolth mask and the respirator. The replacement filters aren't bad in price and last a long time.

Dylan if you have trouble getting, a normal face mask to fit, then I would consider purchasing the "Dust Bee Gone" mask Mel |

I would stick with the cheaper deposable mask accept that, like Mel said, they don't fit very well and I think that the some of the dust just goes around it. I looked at respirators but they as much or more then the dust bee-gone. what kind do you use Kenny_S? Price is't an issue as long as it's (reasonable)cheap. LOL. Dylan |

Dylan, I've got the Dust-bee-gone and love it! I also have one of the $250+ units and rarely use it because the Dust-be-gone is so good. I've only washed it (by hand) a time or two...it doesn't need it often...but it's a great fit even with my beard and a bargain at the price. Carving some woods gets right to my lungs with the paper masks and I hope to never use a paper mask again. Get a Dust-be-gone and take care of your lungs! Wade |

I've had a dust-be-gone for about 5 years, and it's save me a lot of headaches. It's much more comfortable than a paper mask, but not as expensive as a full face type.

Cut-up, "saved me a lot of headaches" indeed! Cypress gives me a doozey of a sinus headache without my mask! Wade |
