Default Duck duck goose

I decided to take a break from hair combs and try something different. It is basswood on top of an oak stick with a white chair rubber tip. I haven't done too many birds so any tips would be appreciated.

Wanda Wanda Wanda, do you ever sleep? It seems to me , every time I turn the old computer on, there you are with another new carving. Mind you I'm not complaining, every one I see I like. I really like this cane tho, I think you did a great job on it. I would make one suggestion tho, I personally think it would look better if the neck flowed right into the shaft at the same diameter as the shaft.

Cliff, I do sleep every once in a while. I retired early due to health problems so I have time to play for once in my life.
I couldn't figure out how to mount it if it was the same size as the stick. Any ideas for the next one? I'd kind of like to do a Canadian Goose.

Curt, thanks. Maybe I'll get brave enough to try burning the feathers next time.

Sharon, glad to "see" you up and around. Hope this means you'll be back to carving soon.
Herb, Robert, Merle, Al and Kevin, thanks for the compliments.

Thanks Wanda
