Default Don't have Red Hat, Isn't Santa!

He is 7"x3" and from Basswood. Finished with BLO, Acrylic Paint, and Clear Poly U. Has Brown Hat sooo, he isn't Santa. Maybe later in the year the next one will be Santa. Still have a little Xmas spirit left, no hurry to lose it. Merle

Merle, that's one fine carvin, but that hat sure still looks red to me, maybe it's the reflection from the background. Guess we'll just have to take your word for it. (smile)

Merle, some santas have no hat at all...... If he isn't a santa, what is he?
What ever he is, he is a fine carving and well painted. But he sure looks like a santa to me..... if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck....it's a duck.

Hey Cliff, Your right it looks red,the Wife said the same thing. I am partialy colored blind, especially on Browns and Reds, That's why I make sure the color is on the bottle when I buy paint. I had some Burnt Umber on my brush and it mixed with the brown, maybe that did it. lolo Merle

You got me Susieq, it's a Duck. Haa,Haa. He'll be treated as a Santa, just want the members to think that I am starting the Santa crase early. After thinking about it if I did that wouldn't be a bad thing, Right. Glad you liked him. Merle

Isn't it funny how sometimes the Christmas spirit lingers on and shows up here and there for a while, even after the season is gone. Nice job and thank's for posting!
