Default doll ideas

I enjoy carving but lackk imagination. I've a godduaghter 5 months old, carved her some teething rings and other wee things. A doll seems the next step. So any leaders on a small doll with no moving parts I can try?

Those American Indian dolls are great lovely colours too.
