Default Dog Carving

No I don't mean a carving of a dog, I mean my dog carving! To date probably one of the best peices I've put out. I had a very detailed character carved out and I have been working for months on a head for him. Well I finally nailed the head I wanted to put on him and I had some things to do around the house. I usually carve in my recliner and I made sure to put my tools in my tool box and lock it up. I forgot to put my little detailed character in there and when I came back in the living room, my dog had gotten hold of it and carved on it herself She took to much wood from it for me to rescue it. I was disapointed but it was my fault for being careless.

Oh well lesson learned!

My dog Charlie really likes chewing on wood. He's a great carver--makes chips like nobody's business. His sense of aesthetics is ... somewhat different than mine, though. I just don't understand his particular brand of abstract art.

My wife continually reminds me to put my carvings up where Charlie can't get to them. I'm sure I'll forget one of these days. And I'll be disappointed, but not upset with the dog.
