Default Re: Does this happen to anyone else?

Thanks everybody - I've heeded your advice and am taking a break from it. In the meantime, I'm drawing up patterns so at least it feels like I'm keeping up with it in a different way.

I'm just relieved to see so many people who have been there and know what I'm talking about.

On the lighter side of life, I took my Dad to the place I buy wood this morning. He got himself some cherry and I got a plank of butternut (which I'm really enjoying working with) Then he took me and the grandkids out to breakfast, which turned into a really nice morning. I joked with him that out of his five sons, it's his daughter who goes out with him looking for wood!

I know that if my head is not there I just wait for the next day.In my case, If I do not feel like carving I take the dogs and go look for wood after work.Enjoy the memorable expressions of your baby and maybe you can transfer it on to wood.
