Default Do you listen to music while you carve?

I was wondering if you listen to music while you carve. When I set my shop up in the basement I made sure that I had a stero down there so I could listen to music. However I find that I rarely ever listen to music when I carve, for one the only time I get to carve is in the wee hours of the morning before I go to work so about 15-20 mins. Or for some people do they feel that it is to much of a distraction to listen to music and that their carvings do not recieve all of the attention they deserve. I just thought I would throw that out there.

I listen to satelite radio and audio books. I try not to listen to the comedy channels on satelite while I carve because I get to laughing and forget about the knife.

I always have music on when I carve. My shop is in the garage so I try not to sing along with the music, my neighbors have told me that I carve much better then I sing. lol

For me it's ussualy classic rock, Queen, Skynryd, Who.... or blue grass, Monroe, Grandpa Jones, String Bean, Foggy Mountain Boys.
Depends on what I'm carving.

Neal Diamond is almost always on. This may be due to the fact that I only own one CD.

Yes always, I listen to Country, Bluegrass, New Age and what the stations calls easy listening. A lot of the time it depends on what I'm carving at the time. Every now and then I'll put on Light Classical.
Thanks for asking,
Kathy

Oh yes, must have music to sooth the soul. A little Sarah MacLaughlin, Leona Lewis, Lorrena McKennett, Celin Dion, Enya, and some 60's and 70's light rock. Softly, ever so softly, don't want to destract.
