Default Do I jab things in my eyes or (Do I carve things for my wife)?

I finally learned after years and years, just to give up and try to please myself. Anythings easier than pleasing her.

So this is really a thread of "does your spouse like your stuff?"

Well, Personally, I would not jab myself in the eye. Painfull and you can't see good for a while. Nope, not in to self inflicted pain. Hmmm well maybe!LOL

Guess I am lucky, the little bride likes my stuff!!!!

Doris, I can't believe anyone would not like your work....and to be embarrassed....geez! We need to have a serious talk with him

My husband loves everything I do. He says the only problem is it is too good. People will never believe that I carved it....it must be a mold. Now how's that for support?

yes, joy, that i wonderful support you have... well, maybe i just need get better, right ;-) ... as to the people not believing that you carved that, i can imagine very well,,, i had this on the artshow too, several visitors asked me "where is the artist who carved all that ?" i said, well its me, and they hardly wanted believe that, next time i bring wood and gouges too, and show them ...so, i think your husband is right that people think that...i took it as compliment, as you do too... :-)

Default Doris - your carvings are BEAUTIFUL !

I agree with Joy's thoughts. You are young to be so accomplished too! Funny, I have a friend named Doris who is an extremely talented marathon runner. Now, after seeing your work, I associate the name 'Doris' with someone who is extremely talented.

My husband is my biggest supporter but he will be honest and tell me if my efforts just aren't up to my usual standard. Of course he is just as quick to tell me if I am doing better than previous attempts.
