Default displaying

I need some input, our parish fair is a couple
of weeks away and we have an outside booth
with just tables to display stuff, i was thinking about
trying to sell some of my carvings, what would be the
best way to display them without them being handled
and possibly broke?

thanks,henry

obviously keeping them from the edges where small hands can reach is important, but having the price clearly posted in front of each piece accomplished three things : signals the fact that your carvings are valuable, eliminates the need to handle them to find the price, and also prompts the parents to discourage children from touching them

I agree with luscher, plus you can always put up a sign asking people not to handle the carvings, but beyond that, there is no real way to prevent people from picking up the carvings.

A couple of quick tips:

Don't 'crowd' the table. This allows a domino effect if one DOES get knocked over. It also makes it harder to see all the carvings - and makes the viewers more prone to want to pick something up to see it better.

Display at different heights. Could be as simple as putting some carvings up on boxes (covered with a cloth). One thing to be aware of is that these are easier to knock over.

Don't sit them at the front of the table - move them back.

If you use a table cloth (it does look better with one), make sure that it's secured around the edges. One good tug could bring everything down.
