I just received an invitation to this show and was wondering if anyone had any info about it, i.e., size, attendees, etc. Might be a little warmer down there than it is here in Oklahoma in February. Appreciate any input you could offer. Thanks and Happy New Year!!!

Hi Lynn: It's the largest Woodcarving show in Arizona and held in the Convention Center in Mesa. I was there about three years ago (entered Novice and ribboned out this year I have to enter 'Open' or Intermediate). I can't give you a specific number of attendees, but the show is well known and advertised well--when I was there seemed like a lot of folks. They also have demo's by the Judges and workshops previous to the show opening. Temp was probably in the low to mid 70's, given our crazy weather in this country I hope I'm not sticking my neck out.....humm that could be a carving. Did they give you a website? If not try this Desert Woodcarving Show Club Competition Information I'm planning on entering the show this year so maybe I'll see you there. A lot of our Prescott Wood Bee Carvers are there on Saturday when the doors open. They like to buy wood and tools from the Vendors. Happy New Year to you too. PS: I live about 1 1/2 drive NW of Mesa so I'll only be going down on Friday for take-in and then Sunday.
