Check this out!!! I wouldn't try to carve red oak (especially if it was a saw horse)!!!

Wow. That is amazing. I have carved in red oak (smaller handheld pieces only) and it is tough because of the grain being so open. I agree with Christina that that is more of a living room project than a work piece in the shop. Well done!!

I admire and have some measure of jealousy over those who can make such nice joints! I seem to be missing some "accuracy" gene or something....this is really a beautiful example of woodworking and carving.
