| | Re: Dayton Woodcarving Show - Day 1 Those are all terrific, but that cross! by the size of the woman next to it , it looks huge, but it must be the way the picture was taken, how big is it? And what a fabulous job someone did on that! Looks like writing to, but faint, can't read it. They were all good, sure wish we had more shows out this way! |

| | Re: Dayton Woodcarving Show - Day 1 Dave, The cross you asked about at the Dayton show is about 4 feet high. The script carved on the carved drape is the 23rd Psalm ( I think) If I am wrong someone please correct me, my memory sometimes fails me. And you are correct, it is impressive. Tom H |

| | Re: Dayton Woodcarving Show - Day 1 Looks like it was quite a show Lynn and all. I must agree, Lynn's work is what draws my attention!!! That adventure with the moose is priceless! The combination of: the carving, the humor, the painting and the detail, is a combination that takes the cake! (and the ribbon, as it were)
Thank you for sharing those pictures with us Lynn, those of us who can't travel that far to a show appreciate it.

Did you by chance get a photo of the Keystone cops? Seems the one I took never came out. I thought it was outstanding . Never saw it on your blog page. |

Tom H | Hello Dave and Tom H. That was my cross and it was 5'-4"H. X 3'-2"W. the linen was made of butternut and bleached, it is 32"W. X 32"H. The Apostles Creed is what's carved in it.

Yours ?
Because I was truly amazed at the work. It was exceptional. Was it made for a church? Very inspirational.
