The Dayton Ohio woodcarving show was great. I met a lot of people from the forum. I got there around 10:30 Sat. and was there almost till it closed. The isles were packed with people. I went back Sunday morning to make sure I didn't miss anything. That is when I took these pictures. It wasn't as crowed then. Before I took pics I asked if it was okay too take them and asked if it was okay to put them online for yall to see. Nobody denied me, but you should always ask. I like caricatures the best that is why there are so many. I did get pics of the best of show. It was a miner by Vic Hood, the reason I took many of the miner is I was trying to get one that didn't have flash glare. Most of my pics are taken with flash off, less glare and less annoying to the subjects. Just have to hold camera extra steady so prevent blur. Pics don't quite capture how good something really looks. Also I took pics of the display for John Burke. Here is the link for the pics. Carl - Thanks very much for posting the pictures! I couldn't make it to the show, and very much wanted to see some pictures. The miner by Vic is really great, and when I heard that he won Best of Show, I really wanted to see the carving. You did a great job with all the pictures you took! I'm really hoping I can make it to the show next year.

Uall welcome, I really like to post pics from shows, because I no how much I like seeing pics from shows I'm not able to go too. I get inspired to carve more after seeing what others have done. I take ideas from everywhere, put them in my head and blend them all together and see what comes out ![]() Carl
