Default Dayton 2008

I would like to take just a moment to thank all the board members that stopped my table to say "Howdy". It was enjoyable to be able to put a face on the members I hadn't met. As others have mentioned, the show was better than ever and with the addition of the CCA members, made it all the more enjoyable! I talked to Lynn and am now the owner of "Old Timer", one of the botlestoppers Lynn created. I would have preferred to purchase "Biscut" but she was a little out of my price range ;O)) Thanks, Lynn as it will provide me with a target to shoot for, as your work is impressive to say the least. Again, Thanks for stopping by!

Jim OH,

I finally put your face to your name from some pictures posted on the Dayton pics.I saw you talking to some members of the CCA while they were all seated in the back doing autographs and didn't know who you were.Sorry about that.If I'm not mistaken you and I attended the same CCA Seminars at Dollywood.

Jim. Thanks for your comments. Like you said, it's great to finally see who you're talking to on this forum and I know that the Old Timer will have a good home. I think I met everyone who said they were coming, some just to say hello but at least we can now put a face to some of the comments we read here.

I just want to say that it was great to meet you Jim. I am glad I got one of your carvings. I also got a bottle stopper from Lynn D. I would have stopped and talked to Don Mertz, but it looked like he was busy helping another carver figure something out. That is why he deserves the award he got. Hello Don, Congratulations! Had a great time at the show. P S it would have been nice to meet the other carvers from the board, but we just didn't cross paths.
Carl

Hey what a show!

It was a great show, it was really great meeting you Jim, Lynn, Vickie Bishop, and Don Mertz.
Had a bit more of a chance to talk with Don and Lynn, but it was great saying howdy to all of you.
I'll be back next year, maybe even showing?!
Thanks,
Doug
