Default Dave Sabol Carving Class this December

I often post pictures of my carvings on this site and give credit to Dave Sabol for many of the designs. Several of you have emailed me privately asking about Dave's classes or general questions about his techniques which I am always happy to respond to! Below is information about a seminar Dave is holding this December. Maybe we can get a few members on the board to join in?

Another holiday season is upon us which means it's time for the 674 1/2 annual carving seminar at Sabol's studios! This year we will offer some new, exciting projects. The feature carving will be the Queen of Hearts Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. Also there wil be an Old Parkman feeding the pigions, and as always several other choices!! the dates are December 1-3. Friday: 6 P.M.-9 P.M. ; Sat. and Sun. 9 A.m.-5 or 6 P.M. There's spaces limited to nine carvers. If need be, we will add the next following weekend as an option. the cost is $145, and roughouts will be $25 - $35 depending on your choice. Phone number is 1-(717)-252-9363. Please respond quickly, spaces are filling quickly!! Thank you and look forward to seeing you in December!

Claude,

Classes will be held at Dave's studio in Wellsville, Pennsylvania. His place is along the susquehanna River between York and Lancaster County. Easily reach from the South by taking Rt 83 north, then East towards Lancaster. I can get more specific directions if needed, just let me know or call Dave's place, he be happy to speak with you!

Gary

Gary,
I had David Sabol for his first week long carving workshop in Missouri three years ago. I just completed a 2-day one here in Missouri and I know he's doing the week long Woodcarving Rendezvous in Branson this week.

I can attest to the fun in taking a carving workshop from David. His teaching technique is good--rotating time with individual attention interspersed with a learning opportunities for the whole group. The action, expression, and movement that he puts into his carvings is awesome and he encourages carvers to think outside the box when doing their carvings. I certainly can recommend his carving classes.
