Default Dancer

Well, I tried something new. This is a stylized dancer carved from Walnut on a Walnut base. I used a natural stain and sprayed it with three coats of Deft satin finish varnish. Though you can't see it in the pic, she is standing on her left toe and the right is not touching. It is probably not something I can sell but it was fun and a break from doing stuff for the gift shops

I've never tried walnut. Very nice grain and your carving would appeal to dance enthusiast. Well done.

In the simplicity... the beauty.
And it could be a great gift, no doubt.
