I'm planning on making a cutting board out of maple blocks glued together. i'm concerned abvout what type of glue to use (toxicicity and water resistance). I'm leaning toward Titebond III. Any thoughts? I'm also going to carve a spoon. Any thoughts about wood type or which type of gouge I should use to do the concave portion? Should I be concerned about layout on my wood blank? I'm new to utinsil carving so any help would be appreciated. Bob

This is a tutorial I posted in our Carver Gallery. You realy don't need any special gouges to carve the bowl. Good luck, Mike Love spoon bowl carving. - Woodcarving Illustrated Photo Gallery |
