Default Curb Chains

Here are a couple of curb chains i carved in cherry. Its my favourite woods to use for this type of carving. Each one took about 35 hours to do.

Thumbs up Re: Curb Chains

Once agian Richard, excellent work. How do you find cherry to carve at such a small scale? I imagine you have to use a very sharp tool and strop often?

Thanks Ron cherry is good for carving this small because its very strong and can get a nice finish on it with little effort. As for using a sharp knife that is a must and all my knives are hair whittling sharp. Heres a close up so you can see how smooth the wood is.
