Default Cowboys & Indians Whittler

I just got my new issue of C&I today and back in a section on classy western threads there is a photo of some goodlooking dude pretending to carve. He's standing next to a really nice woodcarving bench with lots of tools, etc. Looks like a really nice shop too. Wonder who's it is. Anybody out there recognize it?

Foolish me......on the back page it says it was filmed at Walt Garrison's ranch in Argyle, TX. He be a former Dallas Cowboy. I didn't know he was a whittler.

Lynn .. Years ago I saw a picture of Mr. Garrison in a add for a copenhagen smokeless tobacco where he was to appear at a sport event in Dallas Texas .. and it had him with several of his whittled figures in the picture ..

It looked like he was a pretty good carver .. if he is as good a carver as he was a football player .. I would like to see alot more of his work ..

Thanks for the info ..

Gene
