Default Cowboy Roughout - Painted Up

Well I finally got this one painted up and finished. If you want to see the original photos I posted in the nude you can visit this thread:

Cowboy Roughout

This was a roughout I bought back in October from Moore's Roughouts at our club show. Just had it sitting around and wasn't confident enough too do anything with it and decided to give it a try. It's about 9 inches tall on the base. The roughout was designed by Jim Bledsoe (deceased) and called Old Shep.

He is painted in acrylics and finished with BLO and lacquer. Thanks for looking and comments and critques are welcome.

Corey

Corey - That's just an all-round excellent carving. Really like the expression on his face and how you carved his eyes. I like how you left all the carving planes on the entire carving. They really add to the overall effect. Excellent paint job as well. The colors are just right. Like how you handled the texturing on the fur collar as well.
