Default 'Coupla things - cypress knees

First of all does anyone know how something like this can grow off of the same cypress tree root? Both side were cut off the same root as it looks like they started as two knees and grew together near the top. I don't understand it.
Second, I'm looking for ideas on what to carve it into. I have carved Cypress knees for 20 years but so far have been unable to come up with a good idea for this one. It is very unusual and I want to do something very different with it.
I brought it to the house last night so we can look at it every day and maybe something will strike us. Any and all ideas will be appreciated. TIA

It may be way off what you would imagine, but the shape would make a nice sentinal character standing over an arched doorway.

This link is to an arch that I admire, and would like to make for my garden...

Doug..I would have to look at it from all directions ... My neighbor has a tall Cyprus but no swamp.. the knees turn into burl like things.

I agree with artolver - a mama giraffe with baby giraffe next to her knee. The mama is looking down at the baby.
Something like the attached, if it works...

I just see a beautiful shaped piece of wood I would just REALLY clean it up and polish it finish it to perfection and put it on an even more beautiful piece of wood or rock, just a piece of "Art by Natur."

I see 4 tree spirts or old world santas working to gether to make the shape of a giraffe. You know, kind of like two people bent over with a sheet over them to look like a horse. One on the back leanning over to the two on front who are holding one on their shoulders.

Way out there I know but it is reflective of the kind of day I have had!

If you invert it you have a host of other ideas.....like a hawk or eagle diving! Maybe a dragon skimming over the mountains!
