Default Country Ornaments

In the spring,I cut off alot of small disc from larger branches I was going to make walking sticks out of.

Ive never since I have been doing any type of art work,made any type of holiday items. But thought I might try in relief carving some of these little disc. The bark is left on them.

They range from 1/4 thick, 1 1/2 inches to 2 1/2 inches across. The one is a carving of a old deserted cabin. I mounded it on another disc. Its 2 1/2 inches.{ it was just to see how a wooden disc might look}

I will use some very small eye screws on the tops of the ornaments along with a heavier thread to hang them by.

They are hickory,sour & laurel wood disc. I carved 25 over the wk end,I would like to have 75-100 but painting them is harder,cause I have to paint the tiny edges and cant paint the wood around the inter sides which act as a frame around the ornament.

Heres just a few,you can carved so many Christmas ideas on them as,snowmen,bear santas,penguins,pig santas,Christmas trees,bells,stars,angels,gingermen and course santas just to name a few.

I hope you enjoy these simple :country ornaments:

Your thoughts or comments are always welcome. Tn~

Will Up date some new ornaments[picts] as I finish them,Heres a few new ones.

Wed 26th a few more new ones.
