Default Country Miniatures

After carving 35 ornaments & painting them,I wanted to carve some smaller miniatures. They are carved in sour wood & mtn laurel. They are 2 inches and one longer one is 3 inches.

All the doors and windows in a cabin or building are carved deeper, the front of cabins are carved laying them back, the logs on cabins are carved between each log, trees are carved, the skies are laid back where the mtns will have more depth in them also. Each miniature is relief carved and painted. Its hard in a photo to show the small cuts.

I wish you could hold one and feel the cuts with your fingers. I mounted them on thicker wooden disc. Theses are all carved from tree branches I had.

The bear in the tree after some honey, its a really thinner disc,I attacted a pin on the back of it,my wife liked him,so I made her a pin she can wear to her office. Plus theres alot of ladies and people where she works and Im sure I will be making more mins.pins and ornaments for some them before Christmas. Every year people at her work order some of my art work. :::Which is good for me::: LOL

I hope you have enjoyed viewing these little mins.

Your comments & thoughts are always welcome. Thks Tn~

Amazing detail for such small carvings. I would sell them as a set as each compliments the other.

Im gald you liked these little carvings Patrick. Yea I could sell them in sets but there would always be someone wanting just one or 2 of a three set. I paint some stone coasters and they are in sets of four. I appreciate your good input. Thks again, Forrest

Robert, Theres so many better carvers and painters plus so many different types of artist. I have found that I too cant do alot of things like others can and I wish I could. I always tell people,Im sure theres some things you can do that I surely cant. My main thing is always trying, thats the fun part for me. I appreciate your nice compliments. Thks again,Forrest
