Shade skyhi, Those are great lures. Right now, I'd like to be ice fishing! heat index is supposed to be 110 here today. Sure glad my studio has air conditioning. The hubby put me in ceiling fans too. I have to stop computing and darken the room at least 2 hours before bedtime or I lay awake listening to everyone else sleeping. A doctor recommended when you first go to bed, practice breathing deeply and slowly for at least 3 breaths. My sleeplessness seems to run in cycles, little sleep and lots of sleep. Good luck on the sleeping. You don't need any luck on the carving, they are great. Wanda

Hi Al, Very nice lures and the painting is fantastic, its wonderful for you to give to the children. As far as sleep, I just underwent a sleep study a few weeks ago and they told me I'm very abnormal (I already knew that) so they put me on a machine (CPAP) which blows air into my nose and is suppose to keep me from waking up each and every hour, well I've been on it one week and have gotten even less sleep than before. Called the doc yesterday and he said give it time, you have to get used to it. Don't know about you all, but with that much air blowing up my nose I don't think I'll ever get used to it. I certainly hope you start sleeping because I know what it feels like and without sleep you lose your energy and are tired all the time. God bless and good luck with sleeping. Dan |

Nice looking lures you did a nice job of painting them also. Dan I have a cpap machine also it took me a long time to get used to it but a lot of the problem was the mask. I finally settled on one that did not cover the mouth

Believe me when I say that you WILL GET USED TO IT!!! I too am on a sleep machine....mine is an EPAP. My problem is that I quit breathing a bunch of times during the night and the machine takes over and makes me take a breath. Not breathing is very hard on your heart, and also causes one to be tired during the day and to have short term memory loss. The very first night I was on my machine, I took the mask off after about 4 hours as the mask was a full face and it hurt the bridge of my nose. Since then I have replaced the full face with a 'nasal pillow' mask.....so much more comfortable. My son is a doctor and he says that there are many differant kinds of masks to try....so you may want to get another....I love mine now and won't give it up. |

I guess all of us old carvers are on Cpap! What does the nasal pillow mask look like? I use mine but can't get my husband to use his. I had to change machines to get used to mine. Mine slowly ramps up but my husbands seems to go full blast. I understand why he doesn't like his. I stopped waking up with headaches since using my Cpap. So try it longer and try different masks. Sorry for hijacking the thread. Wanda
