Default Coon on log

I finally finished the knotty pine on the walls. It was tough for me seeing Ive not done any carpentry work before,but I think it looks good,course my wife likes it and and if shes happy MAN! Im doing great!!

Wanted something to put in this triangle that would watch over the house,cut this little sweet looking coon from a pine board and lightly relief carved him,stained the log.His head is alittle flat,guess I will call him "flathead"

Hes 12 X 18 inches.

Heres the triangle where the coon will be placed in the living room. There was 2 large mirrors on that wall{To remove the 2 mirrors that was gluded hard on the wall,I use some fishing line,wrapped a round wood handles{tree branches} on each end and me and my wife sawed behind the mirrors and it cut the glue that was holding them},that wall is 8ft X 14ft. Later I will run the knotty pine into the dinning rm.{where the knotty pine ends at the window}

Your thoughts are more than welcome. Thks' Forrest

That's a neat little critter...very appropriate for your room. Nice to do carvings for yourself to add to the decore.

TN, great job on the knotty pine, first or any time and the carving and painting are both super on that flathead coon.

MA, burning and carving is not the same as playing with matches and knives.
