I agree Toeknee! I made her a "Favoriate" in the menu to review and inspire when I need it. Thanks

Nancy Tuttle was the person responsible for me pursuing carving. Although I had an interest in wood carving for years prior, she was the inspiration I needed to get myself started. I found her on Ebay almost 2 yrs ago & never miss ANY of her auctions....EVER!!! I draw a LOT of my inspiration from Nancy's work. She's VERY diverse, always something different, NEVER the same thing, & WHAT AN IMAGINATION!! I really wish she belonged to this forum. I know she'd have SOOO much to offer & her gallery would make an outstanding contribution towards inspiring other carvers, as it has for me. Way to go Nancy!! Keep on carving!!

Dan

Nancy and others carve pine knots,

i been watching the eBay auctions on her stuff for years, the detail and expression they get out of them knots is outstanding, which is evident in the big price she gets for them knot heads, and a lot of them are not as big as your thumb....

wish she had a book out as to the how to carve them gummy knots

Thomp;

I've seen some of her pieces sell for over $500!!!! She's a master @ facial expressions, for SURE...& her wizards are the BEST!! I hope to achieve the artistic ability she has one day! Until then, practice, practice, practice!!!
