Default Congratulations XSailer and Ron Dowdy!
Preliminary reports from the Woodcarvers Congress in Daveport, IA indicate that forum member Xsailer has won a second place in relief with his magnificant 8 ft sunflower. Most regular forum members will remember watching his progress on the board as he created his wonderful piece.

Another forum member, although mostly shy, Ron Dowdy, won a first with his "Chef Santa", a second in group and a memorial award. Three other pieces took ribbons in class.

Congratulations to Bob and Ron... we're anxious to hear the successes of other forum members too. From first reports, it was another stellar show!

Congrats to both! That sunflower must have had some serious competition if it only got second place. I'd like to see the blue ribbon winner!
Wish I could have been there and seen the work exhibited.
