I don't know if many of you know of Dylan Goodson's latest achievement. I want to congratulate him on winning best of show at the Townsend, TN show. His carving, called "Girls at Play" is indeed a remarkable accomplishment in wood. |

I saw that carving but didnt know it won best of show. I couldnt get close enough to take a pict of it. I saw his relief carving & turtle but loved this one of his.The larger carved bust must have been Peoples Choice winner. Hard seeing what was whos with all the carvings bunched up as they was. Noticed the other Ala carvings like Larry Nixs. People you knew or thought was going to win didnt win but thats a part of a carvers show. {{Way to Go Dylan!}}} Sorry too, to not seen you Thor at the show missed you in the crowd I guess. Forrest

Forrest, you did a great job of photographing and presenting images to those of us who did not attend the show. I wish I had been able to attend. I would never miss an opportunity to meet you in person if I had been there. I was just aware of Dylan's award, and wanted to share it here, because so many of us have watched him develop is skills over the past few years. I can also understand why it would be hard to get close enough to photograph it with all of the carvings and people present. Thanks again for sharing the images with us. |
