Looks good!

OK - if expressions give you trouble, my advice is: start drawing people, live, and draw a lot. Also (maybe) study some anatomy book for artists. This has nothing to do with your style of carving in itself, but human anatomy (of course faces especially) is a good starting point, or a complement, to many things. You'll have your expressions down in a few months if you draw a little every day. When you convert 3 dimensional world to 2 dimensional (paper), it's easier to handle 3 dimensional carving.

Default UPDATE!!!! Completed my 2nd Carved cypress knee

I am SO EXCITED!!! I have actually SOLD my 2nd carving for $100. This is my first EVER piece of art to ever sell. I feel like I'm a real live artist now. This sure does encourage me to keep carving, try new things and improve. Thanks to everyone who took time to post replies.
Karen
