Hi colin, Did you ever post pic's of the wild plum carving? Tried to open your picture site my computer won't down load your site today for some reason. Guess I'm not holding my tongue in the right position. I cut down those two scraggly plum trees today ( my wife thinks it was her idea). I found out why they weren't doing good. Carpenter ants had nested in them and pretty much ate a good portion of the heartwood. A bag of ortho ant poison later I ended up with three logs about 2-3 feet long and some sticks long enough for staffs. Just wanted to see how your carving looked. Thanks Macktruck

MacTruck, Sorry I'm so long getting back but it is playoff time so I have spent the best part of the day in the hockey rink watching the grandson play hockey.(They won he got 2 goals and 2 assists). The wild plum carving is finished and I will be able to take some photo's of it tomorrow because in another hour I have to go back the the hockey rink for another hour tonight. I promise I will take pictures and post them tomorrow. In fact I have four woodspirits and two canes carved I have been busy I will try to post all the pictures tomorrow. Colin

colin the carving looks great. now i have to wait for my plum logs to dry out. Debarked one stick and it checked so bad it could be used as a colander. a really wet wood. sorry it took so long. I drive a truck and just got back home today, leaving out tomorrow.
