Default coffee scoop

Wasn't too thrilled when I got the new Flexcut folder as I had hoped it would be a bit more versatile for caricature carving. I don't particularly care for the klunky small blade. However, the large blade works well for me for spoon carving. I just finished this coffee scoop, carved mostly with the Flexcut folder and was happy with the performance of the knife. The wood is walnut.

That is a good looking scoop. What size piece of walnut did you start with?

Terry, You need to put a little face, or person on the handle end. If that was all done with the flexcut, I had better go get one.

Thanks Steve. The blank was about 8" long. I sawed out a bunch of spoon blanks about a year ago and got distracted by carving caricatures.

Glad you like it Al. I drink a lot of coffee and this scoop will get heavy use.

I think you are right Tom. I need a Santa scoop for the Holiday Blend.

Hi Terry,
Great looking coffee scoop made out of a beautiful piece of walnut. Thing I'd like to know, are those coffee beans or some kind of "Voo Doo" bean?

Well, they do make me kinda jumpy when I brew 'em up.

Thanks Dan.

Beautiful Nom! I looked at those at Woodcraft yesterday, but couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger.

Thanks David. Don't blame ya a bit. If I'd handled one first before buying, I probably would not have bought one either.
