Default Coastal Carvers Show-Lincoln City,OR

Hi All,

Just wondering if anyone made it to the Coastal Carvers show. The weather was so icey here in east Multnomah County that I didn't feel like taking a chance getting the wife's car crunched up trying to get there. I really was hoping that the weather would cooperate but not a happening thing! I was also hoping to meet Rick-in-Seattle at the show but that didn't happen either...LOL!

Hope to hear from anyone who made it there.

Chahlie

Chahlie,
We went through Portland just before the freezing rain that caused all the problems; by Monday, it was just raining.

The show was a little slow due to the weather, but it was still fun and I was busy sharpening all day Saturday.

Teri Embrey, Art Olver "The Bark Guy", and myself were there.

There were lots of nice carvings for sale and I bought a Flying Dragon and a pair of Wren earrings for my wife. I also bought a beautiful Maple flame burl for knife handles.

Sunday night I hit the Jackpot on a slot machine in the casino. Wow!!!!

As much as I enjoy woodcarving shows, it sure is nice to get home.

Rick
