Default Club meeting idea

We had out club meeting last night and it was the annual auction. Just bring something you don't use anymore and tell everyone how wonderful it is and get to bidding. The profit goes to the club treasury.

We had everything for knives to old electric motors, a lot of books to pieces of Butternut, Tupilo, and basswood. Several duck roughouts, stick wood and magnifying glasses.

It was a riot.

So how much stuff did you buy? that is a great idea I will bring it up at our next meeting, we don't even have a treasury. When we meet who ever owns the shop supplies the coffee, everyone brings some kind of snacks to share and everyone has some wood to give away to somebody in need.

I bought some wood, paint, and a few study sticks.

We had a shop & swap once where you could bring tools or carving related items you did not want & sell or trade with other members. I was fun to end up with "new stuff" for the shop. We probably need to trade again!

We do often trade wood, I am very fond of bartering if possible. I have traded smoked salmon for carving wood before.
