Default Cinderella Shoe

One of life's greatest joy is to achieve something others say it can't be done.

Nordic pine. About 3 hours into it so far. Lots of shaping and sanding ahead.
Inside of the shoe is a challenge but what's life without it?

Small update.

Started the sanding process which is extend to my fingers
So far so good; I haven't had any cracks or anything. It's still a single entire piece and it will be like that. I'm not sure about finish so if you have any sugestion feel free to type in.
I deslike painting because i like to preserve the natural look of the wood on my pieces so exclude that option

This is my first and probably last carved shoe.

Wow! I'd hate to think that this will be your last shoe. It is awesome. I love the grain.

While it's a great-looking carving, it doesn't look very comfortable.

Nice carving, Kaledrub. Beautiful lines. I have had recent good luck with boiled linseed oil and Danish oil.

why worry about him making a pair-- you get busy and make a pair for her.
