Hello there folks, This is my second post this year. I bring to you this Native American that i carved from a found piece of Mulberry..... The story behind this, was my sisters need for a carving for a close friend whom she works with, stricken with Leukemia. We know about this all too well as a family, my niece whom is in remission was afflicted with the same disease...One day my sister invited her over, she had seen some of the carvings my sister had, and wished to have one for herself. My sister mentioned to me how fond she was of her late father, and his fondness of the Native American culture, and the story of his passing and how her siblings had taken all his possessions regarding Native American culture, leaving her with no momentos to remember him by, except pictures. When my sister told me of this, it bothered me to the very deepest corner of my heart! As a gift and a surprise my sister presented this to her, with daddy carved in a heart shape so that she could once again have those fond memories of her father and his interests! Doing this carving humbled me in a way that i could never imagine. It wasn't just a carving, but an extension of sharing and caring that really brought this past holiday season into light for me. I display it for my WCI family to enjoy. God Bless and may the New Year reign in joy and prosperity for you and yours! ![]() Sincerely, Rob Vega (Lazy Carver)

This is a great carving and your spirit of giving is wonderful. Your profile is right on as is the frontal view, it would be very hard to be a critic of this carving, it is executed so well.

Thanks a mil folks, for your kind words. The gift of giving is vindicative to say the least. It's very liberating to the soul....
