Default Christmas is for the birds!

Attached is what remains of the ornaments I carved this year.
I started out with 10 but after one for each grandchild and one for the ornament exchange at the carving club, 3 are left. The Santa is for my daughter whom we are staying with for a while after the major house fire on Nov 10th.

I took the idea for the chickadees from a WCI pin and expanded them to two sides. They are carved from Butternut and finished with Krylon.

I usually make around 20 ornaments but this year I've had a few other things on my mind.

Sorry about your fire Paul, but your carving is still up to snuff.

You did real good there on the birdies and especially on the Santa. He has a great expression.

Your Santa and birds look good. The colors are nice. Good luck with your house.
