Hi all.. thought you might like to see some pictures of the Charlotte show. It was another great show.. lots of wonderful carvings and of course carvers to go with them. Now the last picture is one only a mother could love. Forrest took one too but he threatened to do some "special" editing and blakmail us all... can't wait to see that one! The other pics are some of the best of open category winners. More in the next post.. WCI members in the first picture (L to r): Badjo, fpace, Arnold Smith, Blake Lunsford, tnartist05, Jeff Bailey, Mitchell. There were others there - these just happened to be together when a picture was taken.

Our own Jeff Bailey won best of show in miniatures for his mountain man. I apologize for the blur but it was so small I couldn't get it to focus. The theme of the show was appalachain life and the 3rd picture is the show theme winner. The first two are once again our own Blake Lunsford with a mini santa and one of his ornaments from his article in the magazine. Congrats on the ribbons fellas! By the way Jeff won 6 or 7 firsts... I lost count!

I think the first pic below is Forrest's wagon... again it was so small I couldn't get a good focus... I would go absolutly blind trying to carve that small! Great win there ol' buddy! Arnold Smith's hobos are next... gotta love them Scott boys! Lynn wasn't there but his influence and inspiration certainly was! Thank you Lynn for all you do!
