Default Challenge How small can you use?

While working, (maybe playing), I tried to use some tiny scrap pieces of yellow heart. Here is what I came up with.

Can anybody else use pieces that small or even smaller to make something with?

These were scraps from the gouge shown.

Wanda that is a great looking flower!
Claude that is a great looking Santa on a Dime! I haven't tried something that small, but it did bring a smile to my face! LOL

Curt, sometimes my mind works.

I was carving with a gouge and thought...hmm that looks like a petal. It didn't take long for me to pick up all the gouge chips and then put them into the spot of glue and I came up with the Mum like yellow flower. I am thinking I can use it on top of a carved cactus or maybe with a tiny stylized hummingbird drinking from it.

I am sure if I ever had to take the (sp?) whorsak (ink blot), the doctors would shake their heads and probably get out the nice white long sleeved jacket!

Wanda, I should keep one of those jackets in the wardrobe for social outings I think :P

Claude, I don't know how big a dime is but that santa is amazing! How big (or rather, not) is it?

Now, see...this is the difference between "creativity" (Wanda) and copying on a small scale (Claude). I've seen, and made, lots of little gouge curls that way, but never once thought of making them into a flower or anything else besides mulch.

Grimnir: As I remember, your Pence is about the same size as our Penny, and a dime is a bit smaller than that. Just measured it: a dime is 17.5mm across.
