Default Re: Cedar Tooth Pick Holder

Vic, I carve a piece of wood, cut off the top big enough to trim a part that will slide down in the tunnel of the body where you have drilled a hole for it. Thats all the easy part but then you have a top but it wont stay in place. So I cut a grove in the bottem of the head's base and behind the body is a small tack thats ground down with just enough of it inside the body to catch the grove when its turned just right which holds the head in place tight. Just carve something the size you want your tooth pick holder and cut off the top. I will be cutting off the tops{heads} on the painted carvings soon and drilling them out{which holds the tooth picks} plus making the grove in the heads that will lock in with the ground off tack in the body. I might have to place a short plug in them seeing they are flatter than the cedar man tooth pick holder. Im not that good at explaining this so I will post some picts that I hope helps. Yes make your own personl tooth pick holder that you can slide in your pocket. Gald you liked them. Thks' TnArtist

Vic, I just posted 2 picts that show the pin{grounded} tack thats inside the body where the neck part of the man will fit inside and once twisted just right locks the whole tooth pick holder together. Hope this helps and please make you one and post it. It will hold about 6-8 tooth picks. I didnt paint him,I wanted the wood really smooth and it will age it self. The carved & painted ones, which are carved from different types of wood, I will make into tooth pick holders and sell them.
