Hello,
Does anyone know a good source for a vacuum chamber to remove the air from casting resin and mold rubber to prevent bubbles from forming while pouiring? Thanks.

Hi Here's a site I found on a google search http://www.alumilite.com/line.cfm?Action=view&ID=5
You can go to google advance search Type in Vacuum Chamber and on the 'exact word' line type in casting resin and several sites come up. Good Luck, Gergie...

Do you have a Jewelry Supply source in your area? Check with them. Jewelers use them to de-bubble their investment for casting. If you can locate it locally you will save on freight. Otherwise both Rio Grande and Stuller handle units. Their may be more out their under Jewelry Tools and Equipment Supply. Dick

Go the opposite way,,,pressure...With vac,,a reduction in pressure makes the bubbles grow..Add 15 psi, bubble is half,at 30 psi, half again,,,,paint pressure pots work well....To remove surface bubbles in the silicone, blow air over surface(dry air) will break the bubbles, then build up by painting or pouring,,,,let cure under pressure, results almost 100 percent, any questions e-mail me,cordially nad
