Your best bet will probably be EBay. Tools like that well well. Send me a PM with the prices you want and I'll ask the guys if any are interested. Photos would also be nice.

Keep the stubai gouges and sharpening tools. Carve once in a while, enjoy the sentimental value of second generation tools. Carve his initials on em, carve yours behind them. Gets me all misty eyed just thinking about it. Stubai tools are some of the best in the world. Just my advice and opinion. Sorry to hear about your loss.

Thanks,

Brian, I don't really know much about forum etiquette but I don't think it could hurt to post pics with info about tool profiles and sizes and interested parties could pm you about prices. You came to the right place to find tool lovers, I am sure they will be well taken care of by our members.

find a deserving carver someplace and donate them to him in your dads name. maybe sell the power tools, but the stubai's should have a special place. or make a shadow box with the tools in them to honor the guy, I did that with my dad's bricklaying tools

I'll second Rick's suggestion. That's what I did with some of my Dad's tools. In fact, I have a small shadow box of representative tools from both my Dad and my grandfather. I figure that perhaps someday (hopefully not too, too soon) my boy will get the collection and add one or two of mine....
