Default carving leaves and flowers

I have a question about carving leaves and flowers for scence's for my birds.
do we have any patterns or tutorials about carving them. i have been looking and
have not really come across articles or patterns for them.can anyone point me in the right direction or suggest were i might can find some patterns
for leaves and flowers.

I think the actual object makes the best pattern of all. I recently wanted to carve some birch leaves. I went out and found a birch tree and went home with a handfull of patterns.

You can make your own patterns by tracing the leaves outline or try using pictures. You can also download Irfanview free and use the outline option. It will trace a line around the subject, sometimes better than others.
