Default carving glove

I am in the market to replace my current carving glove, it has nicks and dings all over it, and has severed me well... I got it in a kit from Little Shavers, years ago. I went to the Canton, Ohio carving show today looking for a replacement, but did not seen anything that caught my eye with at least the same quality.. can anyone recommend a glove, they use and does the job?...Dennis

You could always contact Rick and see if he'll sell you just the glove...

I use this one: Buy Safety Glove, Large, 9" - 11" at Woodcraft.com

Here's another source for the one you got from Rick: http://woodcarvers.com/Gloves.htm

And here's another source for Kevlar gloves: http://www.woodcarverssupply.com/HAN...ctinfo/593001/

Here's another source for the one you got from Rick: Wood Carving Gloves from Smoky Mountain Woodcarvers

And here's another source for Kevlar gloves: HAND SAVER MEDIUM-Wood Carvers Supply

That Polar bear Spectra one fromm Woodcarvers.com is exactly the one I got here in OZ from an Industrial safety shop. It fits like a glove and was made in Mexico I think. Mine cost $26 A and that site has them for $23.45 us.

For once I did not have to pay too much overs.I am really happy with mine and I think they tolod me they have the highest rating. To get better I would have to go to a stainless steel chain type glove.

Dennis I've used the same type of glove that you purchased from Little Shavers for a couple of years and was quite pleased until recently when I tried a stainless steel filleting glove from Walmart for about $7 or $8. Loved it...then found the same thing or similar ones at Harbor Freight for less than $3 on sale recently...bought enough to last years... Just a thought...try them and you might like them! Safe carving to you!

I'm happy with the glove that I got from the "carving glove guy"
I bought it at the Dayton show. It is leather over kevlar.
Just google carving glove guy

Dennis... You've got a couple of Bass Pro Shops in Ohio. They sell a pair filleting gloves similar to the single Rapala fishing glove with the stainless steel threads but instead of the price being $17.95 for one they get $7.99 for the pair. I've been using mine for a year now and have had excellent luck with them.

One of the soul carving handwear we score e'er seen! These gloves are organized to be ragged on the help that is retentive the symbol existence sculpted. Utilizing twofold security, the total glove is Kevlar, yet under the leather, time there is a leather overlay on the line of the assistance appear to protect you piece art. The chromatic Kevlar give helpfulness prevent a knife or gouge from stinging you piece the leather helps prevent something from effort in between the weave of the Kevlar.
