Anyone else care to vote? I think we have made a pretty good case for the Carving Exchange on this site. Please feel free to comment if you have any other ideas or suggestions on how it could work and be an enjoyable experience for everyone who would want to participate. Thanks for voting! Blake |

I am assuming Blake, that you are going to ride herd on this one.....and it will take some paperwork to get it done......I would make the suggestion that you follow Matt Kellys lead on making it a "secret pal" swap...no one gets their feelings hurt...you get a name, you send a carving..someone else gets your name, you receive a carving....kind of fun because you haven't a clue what you are going to get.....you also don't have a choice, so someone can't say no I don't want that one....and we all know this would cause some hard feelings. Another advantage to the secret pal...it keeps you signing up....I have signed up for 15 secret pal swaps through W3E. Oh and its just one carving per sign up......unlike the ornament swap, which is still a lot of fun, but for some its a chore to do 16 or 17 ornaments! Not to say I will not be signing people up for it later tho lol. Anyway, just a thought! Another side benefit....with a one carving exchange, you are not as apt to have people not fulfilling their part as happened with 3 individuals on the ornament swap last.

I like the idea of exchanging carvings. I really enjoyed the ornament swap last year and I agree with Hi Ho that 16 or more carvings would be too much. One of the best parts of the ornament swap to me is seeing all the different styles of carvings as well as skill and just the element of surprise. Just my thoughts...
